PopMatters | Review: Weapons of Audio – Girl Crazy
Floyd and Jeremy Daniels are the blood brother duo that make up Weapons of Audio. They’re originally from Charlotte, North Carolina, but they eventually made their way out to Los Angeles. Their latest offering, Girl Crazy, is a five-song EP inspired by having fun, living life to the fullest—and beautiful women, of course. The spacey “Night Light” is certainly a highlight of the project, but “Dreams” is also catchy in its own way.
As a whole, the project just feels good. Lyrics from “Night Light” do a good job of summarizing the project as succinctly as possible: “Let’s hit the bar, have a toast and drink away our sorrows / Let’s hit the floor, party party like there’s no tomorrow.” The project is catchy and danceable and that’s precisely what Weapons of Audio want. Add this to your summertime playlist.
